Making Projects Investable for Swiss Professional Investors
Arkan Suisse advises project sponsors, asset owners and businesses on the structuring of funding requirements into institutional investment formats.
Many projects are capable of attracting capital, but are not presented in a format that professional investors can process, hold or invest in through their banking and investment platforms.
Our role is to help bridge that gap.
We structure and coordinate the pathway through which a project can become investable within established Swiss and international financial infrastructure.
Arkan Suisse does not lend capital, hold client assets, underwrite securities or provide regulated financial services. Where required, regulated activities are undertaken by appropriately licensed third-party institutions.
The Challenge
Professional investors rarely invest by transferring capital directly into a project.
Private banks, wealth managers, family offices and investment firms typically allocate capital through recognised investment structures that can be identified, processed, settled and held within banking systems.
Without the appropriate structure, even a strong project may remain inaccessible to these investors.
Without structure:
a project may be difficult or impossible for investors to process.
With structure:
a project can become an investable opportunity.
What We Do
Arkan Suisse advises on and coordinates the creation of structured investment formats designed to allow professional investors to participate in project financing opportunities.
This may include coordination of:
• investment structure design;
• institutional documentation;
• issuer and platform arrangements;
• banking and settlement compatibility;
• investor presentation materials;
• introductions to appropriate counterparties, where relevant.
The objective is simple:
to convert a funding requirement into a format that professional investors can understand, assess and invest in.
How the Structure Enables Investment
For a project to be investable through professional channels, it must normally be compatible with the systems used by banks, custodians and investment platforms.
This may include:
ISIN
An International Securities Identification Number, allowing an investment to be uniquely identified and recognised within financial systems.
Swiss Financial Data Infrastructure
Recognition through Swiss financial information channels used by banks and market participants to identify securities.
Euroclear / Clearstream
International settlement infrastructure used by banks and custodians to hold and transfer securities.
Bloomberg Visibility
Institutional visibility that allows investors and advisers to view, monitor and track an investment.
These elements are not cosmetic. They are often the infrastructure that allows professional investors to participate.
Our Process
1. Feasibility & Structuring
We assess the project, funding requirement and investor context to determine whether a structured route is appropriate.
Outcome:
a clear view on suitability, structure, timeline and likely investor requirements.
2. Structure Creation
We coordinate the creation of the investment structure, documentation and institutional framework through the relevant counterparties.
Outcome:
an investor-ready structure capable of being presented to professional investors.
3. Capital Introduction
Where appropriate and separately mandated, we may support introductions to professional investors and coordinate the capital engagement process.
Outcome:
a disciplined route to investor engagement and potential funding.
